How does the key recovery work?

Tatoshi Wallet is the first wallet that offers you a key recovery functionality, which uses your friends to store recovery data for you. These data are fully encrypted and can only be used to recover your wallet.

If your old phone is lost and you got a new one, go to the app store and download the Tatoshi Wallet app again.

What is a wallet?

There are many different wallets out there in the market. Some are easy to use, some are very secure. But before Tatoshi Wallet, there was none which provided a high security standard and a convenient usability.

Some providers offer you to store your Private Key on their servers. This is also convenient, as you can access it from anywhere. But it is very unsecure, because if this provider gets hacked, what happened several times in the past, your funds are lost forever.

How does setting up a protector work?

To start the set-up process of a Protector relationship, just select that person form your friend list. This is only possible with members that already joined the Tatoshi Wallet community. Choose “Establish protector relationship” to start the process.
